About the role

The key mission of this Internship Business Development Executive role is to support the development of a business pipeline from new clients in key strategic industry sectors in Spain and internationally. This pipeline will lead to high revenue conversion and ultimately will meet or exceed the company’s growth targets. 

Key Duties
  • Identifying decision makers in target organizations via online research – web, social networks, databases etc. or via telephone
  • Maintaining a database of target organizations and decision makers – adding contact details, roles, key information
  • Reaching out to decision makers by email, via social networks or by telephone
  • Communicating key information about client service offering and asking key questions to help qualify opportunities
  • Creating a great impression and establishing good relationships with buyers
  • Preparing tailored email communications and information packs for decision makers
  • Systematic and consistent follow-up on communications each week or month
  • Responding RFIs (request for information) with the assistance of their manager
  • Sharing information with Content Marketing Team and strategizing together on how best to reach buyers
  • Researching Business Sectors to identify trends, potential target companies, opportunities etc.
  • Qualifications & Skills
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent communicator, Fluent Spoken and written English, with other languages, (Spanish, German) a benefit
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with decision makers
  • Methodical and inventive approach to online research
  • Ability to pick up the phone and present oneself with confidence and appeal to prospective buyers
  • Effective organizational skills and great attention to detail
  • Creative and resourceful, able to identify solutions for every challenge
  • Driven and ambitious individual with a strong desire to succeed
  • Tenacious attitude to business
  • Ability to operate autonomously and work towards targets
  • Sales and/ or Marketing experience a plus
  • Knowledge and competencies
  • Fluent in English and Spanish is a must, German/French is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Genuine interest in understanding other people’s work and motivations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to create an air of confidence.
  • Good grasp of IT.
